minutes of a crisis. Uncover "hidden" resentments and learn what’s really
bugging you or others. Find steps you can take right now to "repair"
relationships damaged by past conflicts.
PDV-002. Communication
Objectives: What are you really saying? Examine body language, personal
space and how to talk “to” and not “at” people. Improve interpersonal
communication skills to achieve more effective results and more satisfying
relationships. Practice listening skills to improve communication.
Identify and practice a four-step model of communication to improve
effectiveness and get needs met.

Objectives: Understand the elements of diversification. Learn how
stereotyping,
prejudice, discrimination, and cultural differences effects communication.

PDV-006. Genesis of SELF
Objectives: Create a framework for improving the effectiveness of
relationships. Explore Spirit, Expectations, Longevity and Faith. Increase
self-confidence and competence through increased insight, productivity and
readiness.
PDV-007. The Secret of Influencing Others
Objectives: Participants will be led to a new way of thinking about the
topics of motivation and influence in the professional environment. An
influence model will be introduced and extensively discussed. The model's
practical applications will be presented to the participants by the
instructor, providing them with another tool for use in their professional
activities that affect others' behavior as well as their own.
PDV-008. Listening Skills
Objectives: We are all better at talking then we are at listening. This
training strengthens our listening skill by identifying individual
listening styles. By understanding what style we use when listening we are
better equipped to recognize our differences. Recognizing our differences
invites the opportunity to improve effective communication though an
ability to adjust to the listening styles of others.
PDV-009. Managing Emotions
Objectives: Increase awareness of emotions – yours and others. Examine
emotional vocabulary. Identify common emotions that evaluate and provoke.
Explore the sources of emotions, the emotion iceberg and emotional
intensity. Practice "communicate and respond" emotions role-plays for
effective resolution skills. Establish boundaries for the emotions of
others.
PDV-010. McGyverism (Improvising)
Objectives: Learn to use the tools that are available, sometimes not in
the ways they are intended to be used! Find unique ways to solve problems
when they arise.
PDV-011. Presentation Skills
Objectives: Participants will learn how to prepare for, and the dynamics
of effective presentations. Investigate ways to research and identify the
audience’s needs, the strengths and weaknesses of various forms of
presentation media, and effective techniques to capture and maintain
audience attention. Based on the customer’s target learning objectives,
participants in this course will receive training through presentation and
exercises. If requested, labs and role-plays can be added and video taped
for practice and feedback analysis.
PDV-012. Proper Prior Performance Prevents Poor Performance – The 7
P’s
Objectives: To discuss the importance of proper preparation to any task,
no matter how small.
PDV-013. Relational Intelligence
Objectives: This training discusses the ways individuals, departments, or
organizations display poor relational esteem. Where there may be strength
in the area of substantive esteem or policy and practice (toeing the legal
line), without a healthy balance of relational esteem and organization or
company could be headed for trouble. This training will outline the
characteristics of poor relational esteem displayed typically by shame and
grandiosity. We will also discuss the skill set for repair communication.
Substance without relationship in the workplace means a slow death for
everyone.
PDV-014. Repair Skills
Objectives: This training discusses the ways individuals, departments, or
organizations display poor repair skills in work relationships. This
training will outline the impact of poor repair skills on productivity and
communication. We will also discuss the skill set for repair
communication, including characteristics of an effective apology.
PDV-015. What Are We Doing to Each Other
Objectives: Woman against woman...why? In this time of women wanting equal
16 access and equal opportunity, why are we our own worst enemy? Using
case studies and personal experiences, participants will learn the unique
characteristics of women's conflict with each other and the
destructiveness that women in conflict can cause to the workplace, to the
home and to society at large. Participants will also craft a strategy to
manage themselves and minimize their own contributions to the woman vs
woman climate.
PDV-016. What’s My Personality?
Objectives: (Using the Enneagram) This presentation will look at the nine
personality types, gaining an understanding of the key motivations of each
type and how those motivators impact behavior. We will look at how each
personality type manages stress, personal relationships, communication,
and identify ways for maximizing your personal power and potential at
work, as well as other areas of your professional and personal life.
PDV-017. What’s My Style?
Objectives: (Using the Gregorc Style Analysis Instrument) Everyone has an
individual “style” they use to approach life and its’ management, whether
it involve time, work, leisure or other personal issues. When people
interact, their “style” impacts how well they work together and what the
end product might be when they do.
