Learn specific, authentic communication skills to share difficult feelings and experiences in a safe space. Confront each other’s prejudices and stereotypes. Explore how to work more effectively with different people and cultures. Objective: This program in global awareness is designed to sensitize the businessperson to the cultural influences and differences that affect business transactions and the management of people. Participants will be shown the phenomenon of business globalization and the importance of building a global mindset. Participants will be shown how to see culture as an organizing principle of human behavior that affects business relationships, job performance, and their own effectiveness. Participants will be shown how to develop self-awareness regarding their own culturally determined values that influence how they conduct business; and to identify attributes and skills that make a person "inter-culturally competent." |

Managing Emotions
Objectives: Increase awareness of emotions – yours and others. Examine
emotional vocabulary. Identify common emotions that evaluate and provoke.
Explore the sources of emotions, the emotion iceberg and emotional
intensity. Practice "communicate and respond" emotions role-plays for
effective resolution skills. Establish boundaries for the emotions of
others.
Objectives: Learn how to prepare yourself or your employees for media
exposure – newspaper, radio, television and Internet – and how to satisfy
the needs of the media without surrendering sensitive information or
jeopardizing the company/case in any way. Training includes coaching on
how to present yourself/your firm through print and media commercial
advertising. |
