Dr. Richard Voyles, PhD has a broad-based knowledge in the area of Dispute Resolution.  His training presentations specialize in facilitative mediation skills at every level.   He graduated from Cornerstone College in Grand Rapids, Michigan and also studied Philosophy at Western Kentucky University where he received an MA. Graduating from Emory University with a PhD, Dr. Voyles does extensive work in the areas of prejudice reduction, cross-cultural communication and conflict management. He is currently recognized internationally in Who's Who in 2002 in Business.

Dr. Voyles is the President of Conflict Resolution Academy, a technology oriented company that employs Audio, Video, CD Rom and the Internet to train and certify skill sets both online and onsite. Dr. Voyles is a registered Neutral with the State of Georgia's Office of Dispute Resolution and is a professional mediator. As past Director of Training for The Justice Center of Atlanta, he has traveled the world, training people in conflict resolution and mediation skills.

Martin (Marty) Ellin, Attorney at Law,  is Legal Consultant for Conflict Resolution Academy, LLC.  In 1983, Marty became a professional mediator, and over the next fifteen years, mediated cases involving commercial claims and employment disputes.  Because of his belief in the process and his success with mediation, in 1999, Marty left the full time practice of law, served for two and half years as the Director of Legal Services for the Justice Center of Atlanta.  In 2001, he accepted the position of Director, Legal Services for Conflict Resolution Academy, LLC.  In addition, he acts as a Senior Trainer and
leads the Education Development Department for Professionalism and Ethics.  He is a well-received keynote speaker.  Many of his training topics are available in both live and video presentations and are registered for Continuing Legal Education Credit.

Additionally, Marty is the Executive Director of the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation, and continues his work as a professional mediator and a teacher of conflict resolution.  He encourages lawyers to become better advocates in mediation while representing clients. 


Deborah Laufer, JD, Attorney at Law, is a Senior Trainer and Content Development Specialist for Alternative Dispute Resolution Programs.  Ms. Laufer is also the Executive Director of the Federal ADR Network (FAN), which she founded in 1998. The Federal ADR Network focuses on distributing ADR information and materials electronically.  She is an experienced trainer in interest-based bargaining, mediation skills and dispute resolution systems design. She consults for federal agencies and private entities on how to develop an integrated workplace dispute resolution system.

Ms. Laufer is an attorney with a JD from Georgetown University Law Center. She graduated with honors from Barnard College, Columbia University with a major in political science and minors in economics and psychology.  Ms. Laufer received her training as a mediator at Georgetown University Law Center under the guidance of Linda Singer and Michael Lewis. 

Ms. Laufer also served as Assistant General Counsel and ADR Coordinator for Federal Programs at the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service.  Other experience includes work at the Administrative Conference of the United States, specializing in administrative law and federal ADR law.  She has expertise in how agencies apply dispute resolution and negotiated rulemaking techniques to contract, workplace, enforcement and environmental disputes. She has written several articles on federal dispute resolution systems and is co-editor of the Federal ADR Deskbook published by the American Bar Association (2001).
 

J. Gary Adcox, Consultant and Trainer for Conflict Resolution Academy, LLC, received his BS in Psychology from the University of Maryland and his MEd in Counseling from Boston University. Gary is currently completing his work for his Doctoral of Management degree in Organizational Leadership with the University of Phoenix. His work with groups and individuals conducting marriage, bereavement, and life skills counseling, led to his selection as the head of the counseling department of a federal halfway house in located in Fayetteville, NC, where he was responsible for all aspects of the substance abuse and individual counseling programs. 

Gary works in the areas of leadership, management, human relations, facilitation, mediation, and equal opportunity in both private and government settings.Gary is the President of The Building Zone, an organizational development and training corporation based in Colorado Springs, Co. Gary is a dynamic speaker and facilitator working primarily in the areas of character development, human resources and diversity, leadership, team effectiveness, and communications.


Carl R. Deus, Consultant and Trainer for Conflict Resolution Academy, LLC, leads the development and presentation of negotiation training for the Academy.  He retired from IBM after a career in sales, marketing, and as a professional skills instructor.  He was selected to become a certified instructor in negotiation and conflict resolution, and attended the Harvard Negotiation training program offered through Conflict Management, Inc. at Harvard University. 

He has taught over 200 courses on conflict resolution, consensus building, diversity, leadership, management, Peter Senge's The Fifth Discipline process, presentation skills, and team building.   Training responsibilities have included needs assessment, design, development, and delivery of courses across all media platforms.

Carl maintains senior faculty status at two colleges in Atlanta.  He has been a quest speaker at national and regional corporate events, inner city schools, and numerous civic organizations. 

He is a certified mediator registered with the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution and is also certified in arbitration.


Deborah Johns-Tatum, Consultant and Trainer for Conflict Resolution Academy, LLC, holds a Masters of Education from Georgia State University and a Bachelor of Science Degree from Tusculum College. Ms. Johns is an experienced Trainer, Consultant and Mediator and is register with the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution. Her work is in the areas of leadership, communication, conflict resolution, workplace disputes, court mediation and special education mediation. Ms. Johns' expertise also deals with EEO, EEOC complaints and Union Grievances. She has consulted and trained throughout the United States and Europe.

Deborah has served as an instructor for Catawba Community College, Director of Education for Devereux Foundation, a private not-for-profit psychiatric hospital, and as an independent trainer and consultant for a variety of Federal and State agencies, corporations and the special education field. 


Candace Kaspers, Ph.D., Consultant and Trainer for Conflict Resolution Academy, LLC, received her Ph.D. from the University of Michigan and taught at Clark University.  She then became a corporate consultant for leading national companies, three times president of the Atlanta Women Business Owners, and a member of Leadership Atlanta.  Dr. Kaspers was the first Chair of the Communication Department at Kennesaw State University.  She returned to full time consulting in 2000.  She has been a consultant and business owner for over 20 years. 

Gillian Royes, Ph.D., Consultant and Trainer for Conflict Resolution Academy, LLC, was born in Jamaica, and has lived in the United States for 20 years.  After gaining a doctorate in Communication and Southern History at Emory University in Atlanta, Dr. Royes taught at Clark University.  She entered corporate life in 1981 by starting two successful distributing companies in Jamaica and Cayman, later working in Senior Management with an Airline.  Trained in Stress Management in London, she has been a corporate trainer since 1993.  She writes a weekly newspaper column on life balancing. 


Kevin M. Malone, Consultant and Trainer for Conflict Resolution Academy, LLC, specializes in Employee Relations and Employment Law.  Kevin has extensive experience and expertise in the design, development and delivery of supervisory and management training courses including Workplace Mediation, Conflict Management, Employee Discipline, Performance Management, Sexual Harassment, Employment Discrimination and other workplace issues.  He has consulted with and trained personnel in a wide variety of private and public workplaces across the USA and in Europe.

Kevin is a certified mediator and has been registered with the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution since 1995. He holds a Master of Science degree from Georgia State University in Human Resource Development as well as undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Business Administration.


Deborah Nicholson, Consultant and Trainer for Conflict Resolution Academy, LLC, has over 15 years experience in developing organizational readiness. The consultation and training services provided focus on increasing the individual effectiveness and performance of staff by assisting the leadership in aligning Mission requirements with Human needs. This alignment, which encompasses the elements of strategic planning with the enhancement of people skills, creates an environment with high levels of trust, commitment, motivation and competence. The outcome is a strong healthy organizational culture that has the internal capacity to produce high quality mission results because of powerful, proactive human interaction.  

Ms. Nicholson is certified through the Department of Defense as a human relations/equal opportunity manager, advisor and trainer. She has served in leadership positions in military, public and private organizations and has extensive experience in strategic planning, change management, cultural diversity and human relations at the policy, administrative and implementation levels. 


Dennis Runnion, Consultant and Trainer for Conflict Resolution Academy, LLC, is a Certified Quality Manager through American Society of Quality and Certified Facilitator and Business Performance Review Examiner.  He was educated at Auburn University.  Dennis is a veteran of BellSouth, with over thirty years experience in building high performance teams, managing change, and developing human capital. With his strong coaching skills and unique ability for developing individual talent, he has had considerable success in leading and motivating people to achieve excellence as measured in improved productivity, problem solving and customer loyalty. Working with a variety of personnel, he has provided training and support, enabling the establishment of "self-directed teams" capable of attaining challenging goals.

Dennis plays a significant role in Life Skills Management initiatives for CRA.  He consults with senior management regarding innovations in customer service and process improvements. He provides leadership in developing and delivering balancing life skills training to all levels of employees. In addition, he developed a coaching skills training curriculum, which helps supervisors become more effective in employee development.

Dennis' experience also encompasses an array of projects related to strategic planning, management development and employee motivation. Some of these projects include facilitating various senior management strategic planning and problem solving sessions; conducting leadership assessments and consulting on the development of managers' personal improvement action plans; developing and implementing employee appreciation plans and events as recognition for excellent customer service.

Dennis has trained under Dr. W. Edwards Deming, Stephen Covey, Ken Blanchard and Tom Peters.
